CHROME HILL & PARKHOUSE

The Chrome Hill & Parkhouse Hill circular is 15.3km loop that is accessible year round. It is one of the Peak District’s most popular walks (and scrambles in some weathers!), and starts and ends in Longnor, not far from The Bakehouse front door.

Partially paved in places, this walk is rated as difficult, and is popular with hikers and rock climbers. During this walk you will see the dramatic “dragons back” of Chrome Hill – a popular photo for those who enjoy Instagram!

THor's CAVE & DOVEDALE

You can take these walks separately, or do them both in a day! Dovedale, which is owned by National Trust, is one of the main attractions in the Peak District, with the infamous stepping stone river crossing. A nice gentle walk for those with children or dogs, it provides stunning Peak District scenery – one you can do at your own pace.

If you are more for the heights, then Thor’s cave is fairly easily accessible with path & steps. Venture inside the cave at 870ft, or walk up and over the top to enjoy 360degree views across the rolling Peak District National Park.

Expect them to take a couple of hours each.
